Word from a Developer
At Cedar Homes Ltd we pride ourselves as a small bespoke high-quality Building Development Company usually building one Development at a time. Since 1985 we have built over 115 dwellings and since 2004 we have specialized in conversions and new build in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham City Centre. In 2011 we won a Birmingham City Council Built in Quality Award Winner for Restoration and Conversion Category for ” The Minories” Project in Warstone Lane.
Our recent Elizabeth Place new build luxury Townhouse Development in Tenby Street North has been very well received as our sixth JQ Development and all 14 four stories 4 bedrooms,4 bathrooms, 2 balcony townhouses are now sold. These houses have, as before, offering luxury living for discerning individualists in the City.
The Lead Marketing Agency involved has been James Laurence with its multi-office base in Birmingham City Centre. Over many years we have worked with a great many Estate Agents. We have found that this Agency displays a “can do” attitude to ticking all the boxes needed in marketing homes to home buyers. There is a careful appraisal of the buyer’s requirements and aspirations before sales viewing with meticulous patience to the buyer’s needs. I have always been impressed by the punctual communication with our on-site team so that at a first, second or final viewing all parties are up to speed with any outstanding questions or loose ends. The follow up after sales have been agreed is always proactive and a confidence can be maintained that the sale will conclude in an assured manner.
We remain very confident about the Short and Long Term prospects for the residential housing market in Birmingham. Cedar Homes having survived at least 2 serious recessions in the housing market since 1985 there are various pointers to keep an eye on with this in mind. Several but not exclusive optimistic factors are:
Birmingham..second UK City… market is being bolstered by a massive inner City building reinvention with key projects and infrastructure. The arrival of HS2 trains and the expansion of Birmingham Airport will continue to be felt.
The migration of key Service Sector staff such as Banks to Birmingham will continue to have an effect.
The home values in Birmingham remain a bargain for London buyers. London values will continue to force buyers to look elsewhere and with everything else we have to offer in culture and City Centre attractions, we will remain a magnet for an influx.
We are confident that James Laurence will continue to be inspired exponents of Birmingham’s continuous vitality.
