UK asking prices reach new high, latest index shows – Property Wire

“Asking prices in the UK have reached a new record of £286,133, pushed up by demand which has been exacerbated by a lack of sellers putting their homes on the market. The figures from the latest Rightmove monthly index also show that asking prices are up 1.6% month on month in April.”

 

 

 

New rents rise in first three months of 2015 – Property Industry Eye

“Rents for newly let properties rose 4.5% in the first quarter of this year, to £853 per month, Countrywide has said. However, rents for renewed and occupied tenancies have remained stable. The average UK rent for renewed tenancies in March was £848 and the average rent for all occupied rental properties £840.”

 

 

 

 

HSBC completes deal for Arena Central HQ – Birmingham Post

“The deal to bring the UK personal and business banking operations of HSBC to Birmingham has been formally signed. Arena Central Developments, the joint venture company behind the Arena Central development in Broad Street, has sealed what is said to be the biggest Birmingham property deal at 210,000 sq ft since 2002.”
