This week Birmingham became top UK city (outside of the capital) for quality of life for worldwide 2015 cities, as voted for by Mercera global consulting leader in talent, health, retirement, and investments.
The top five UK cities outside of London and out of 230 cities in the rankings across the world, are:
Birmingham
England’s second city has come No. 1 for the quality of life outside the capital. With large green spaces such as Cannon Hill Park and excellent leisure facilities with multiple Michelin star restaurants across the city, the most in the UK outside of London.
Glasgow
Scotland’s largest city came shortly behind at ranking No. 55. With Glasgow hosting the commonwealth gameslast year the city has become even more attractive with new jobs being created and the development of local businesses happening as a result of the games.
Aberdeen
The ‘Granite City’ came at ranking No. 57 with well paid jobs in the city fuelled by the oil industry living in the city is desirable.
Belfast
The Northern Ireland city makes it on the list at No. 63, being packed with history and culture the city is very much alive – http://visit-belfast.com/
