Variable mortgages at highest levels for over two years – Property Reporter

“According to new data from Mortgage Advice Bureau, more mortgage borrowers opted for variable rates during February than any month since November 2012. The report showed that 10.1% of homebuyers and those looking to remortgage chose variable rates in February. This is a rise of 1.5%, up from 8.6% in January to the highest percentage in 27 months.”

Landmark vision for Three Snowhill unveiled – Birmingham Post

“The future for Three Snowhill can be revealed with a set of artists’ impressions showing proposals for a landmark city building. The scheme will offer 360,000 sq ft of grade A offices over 16 storeys, along with 40,000 sq ft of leisure and retail space and parking spaces. New computer-generated images above show plans are for a bright glazed tower which steps up from Two Snowhill next door. The building will have dual access from Snowhill Queensway and the Metro Boulevard and forms a key part of the Snow Hill Masterplan opening out onto the Jewellery Quarter and St Chad’s Cathedral.”

House prices up £22,000 last year – Office for National Statistics

“Residential property prices in the UK rose by 9.8 per cent in 2014 to add almost £22,000 to the average home and take its price to £272,000, according to the Office for National Statistics.”
